My Moderate classes emphasize variety to keep things fresh, breathwork to steady the mind and a philosophy that we can be both strong and gentle. And humor – laughter is the best medicine!
Being a former dance teacher, I fell in love with the musical drive behind the movements. PiYo is about energy and power, and I love the opportunity to inspire, motivate and help others fulfill their fitness goals!
Whether teaching a Gentle/Moderate or the heated Slow Flow class, my approach is to encourage agility and flexibility. Yoga is for appreciating and further developing what your body is capable of doing.
Working out in any form has always been my passion. I have a degree in Exercise Science. I taught/coached preschool to competitive high school gymnastics. I took one Pound class and I was hooked. Pound, at any age, brings out your inner rockstar.
Darya’s classes are based around vinyasa focusing on more dynamic sequencing or a slower flow class, depending in the students needs, but always with an emphasis on lightheartedness and fun. Darya completed her 200hr teacher training in late 2003 in the UK and has been teaching ever since. She has recently begun her 500hr teacher training with the revered Tiffany Cruikshank.
Yoga is for all shapes and abilities, so I believe thoughtful consideration and kindness is a necessary tool.
My yoga class is for people who, due to past injuries or disinterest in gym type workouts, are looking to start or restart a more physically active life.
I love to share the health and wellness training that I've acquired in my 500 hours certification and my ongoing desire for more education. My vinyasa based classes are creative, interactive, and a fun mix of the different styles of yoga that I've studied.
Whether teaching prenatal, beginners, or gentle yoga classes I utilize a proactive approach. I want to help people avoid injuries or, in the case of pregnancies, unnecessary pain.
My Moderate class is full of symmetrical, harmonious poses and nonjudgmental, energetic students, which is why I love teaching yoga
My class is based on hatha/vinyasa yoga. Emphasis on breathing, alignment, and improving flexibility is an integral part of my teaching. I enjoy sharing what I have learned through my 200 hr certification with others in my classes and providing a time for students to feel centered and at peace.
I am a positive person, and my classes are based on a "no judgment" premise. I encourage students to focus on what they have and to embrace their limitations with love and acceptance while exploring and enjoying their own personal journey. I am an RYT-200 teacher certified in Hatha Yoga.
I'm an Indiana native, who completed my 200 hour Certification in India during a 9 month solo journey to develop a deeper understanding of happiness and health. For me, yoga is the key to being balanced, happy, and healthy, which I love to share with my students!
I received my teacher certification for children in 2012. Children enjoy the playful yoga poses. They encourage and accept one another's practice. What surprised and pleased me was hearing from students how much they enjoy final Savasana.
Whether teaching tots or adults - I hope to help students realize the power of their breath and encourage faith in their bodies. My intention is to weave a balance of strength and sweetness into each class. I obtained my 200 Hr certification through the Teton Yoga Shala in the awe-inspiring Jackson Hole, WY.
I love to weave creative playlists with my workshop style teaching. The focus of my classes is on appropriate alignment, breath work, and encouraging a playful atmosphere. Questions and laughter are always welcomed.
I returned to yoga four years ago and my previously declining health has improved dramatically. I found daily breath work, asana practice, and meditation have been the key to feeling better. I like to share this knowledge in my gentle/moderate yoga class. This class starts out slowly and works into strengthening postures with options to increase or decrease intensity.
